Michael S. Hamlin is a 2000 graduate of the University of Tulsa, where he earned his B.A. in Political Science. In 2003, Mike received his J.D. from the University of Missouri-Columbia School of Law, where he was a member of the Missouri Law Review.

Mike is licensed to practice in Missouri and Illinois. He is also admitted in the United States District Courts for the Eastern District of Missouri and the Southern District of Illinois, as well as the United States Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit.

Mike is a member of the Missouri Bar, the Illinois State Bar Association, the Missouri Organization of Defense Lawyers, the Professional Liability Defense Federation, and The Harmonie Group. He has participated in the Missouri Organization of Defense Lawyers' Trial Academy, as well as the International Association of Defense Lawyers' Trial Academy at Stanford. Mike has presented at multiple seminars on topics relating to defense planning, trial preparation and litigation, and insurance coverage issues. He has served as lead trial counsel in Missouri and Illinois on numerous cases involving personal injury and wrongful death claims, dram shop liability, premises liability, as well as first party insurance claims and complex coverage disputes.
